Boca Del Mar was created in the 1970s by the Behring Corporation. 2,350 acres were developed for use as a master planned community. It's located west of I-95 at Palmetto Park Road and includes eighty subdivisions from Bella Vista to Boca Place to Whipser Woods to Windrift. Being in Boca Raton, Boca Del Mar of course is a great place to spend time outdoors. In fact Boca Del Mar boasts two championship golf courses in addition to the public Mizner Trail Golf Club, recently updated with a new clubhouse. The North Course is a private membership golf course created in 1973; however the South Course built in 1975 is not private.
Boca Del Mar residents are active in their community, which attracts residents and gives this area even more of a family-focused orientation. For example, a current focus for the Boca Del Mar Board of Directors is keeping the Mizner Trails maintained. Furthermore, residents of Boca Del Mar can rest assured that their homes and community is completely secure.
The Boca Del Mar Improvement Association Board ensures regular sherrif patrol as well as Citizen Observer Patrol, which uses members of Boca Del Mar to patrol the area for a minimum of three hours per week. Each member of the patrol must have no criminal record, no DUI arrests and complete a twelve-hour field training course. Boca Del Mar also includes two fire stations, one post office, a YMCA, the Boca Raton Synagogue and Saint Jude Catholic Church/School.
Schools include Del Prado Elementary. The population of Boca Del Mar is approximately 25,000, up from a little over 21,000 in the year 2000. Medium house income is $52,000, while for a family it is $70,000.
